Irvine, CA, February 5, 2014: E-Plan, Inc., a privately held software development firm, announced today it has been granted another U.S. patent, Patent No. 8,595,617 B2

This patent, filed as a continuation of U.S. Pat. No. 7,975,222 issued in September 2007 relates to e-Plan’s proprietary technology of its browser-based markup review software. The strengths of this new patent consist in its broader independent claims relating to a computer implemented method for dynamic linking between a graphic document and a comment database.

Dr. Michael Chegini PE, SE, inventor of this technology commented, “This new patent confirms our position as a leading developer of collaborative electronic plan review applications, enhances our ability to apply proprietary technology to the next generation of plan review and inspection applications that utilize relational database management systems on the Internet. Our E-Plan system is an advanced, affordable, and easy-to-use review and inspection solution to help our clients reduce their carbon foot print and transition from paper plans to electronic documents.”
