Director of Implementation
The Mission: Why We Exist, What We Do, And Where You Fit
At e-PlanSoft, we help cities and counties modernize their plan review processes. Our software platform replaces manual, paper-heavy workflows with a faster, more transparent system for reviewing and approving building plans, empowering agencies to reduce permit turnaround times and improve service to their communities.
We are at a critical moment: With a fresh investment from ParkerGale Capital, we know our product delivers, our customers love us, and we're sitting at ~$5M ARR. Now, it's time to scale and that means delivering flawless implementations that turn new customers into references and advocates.
We're hiring a Director of Implementation to lead our customer implementation journey from contract signature to go-live success. You will own the post-sale delivery process, managing complex integrations with legacy systems like Accela, Amanda, Clariti, and other Community Development Platforms that government agencies depend on. You'll enhance implementation methodologies to make them repeatable and scalable, manage SOW-based projects, and ensure every customer deployment becomes a foundation for expansion and renewal.
This is a hands-on, high-stakes role where technical complexity meets government scale and complexity. You'll need to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including IT, accelerate time-to-value, and find ways to exceed our customers’ expectations. Perfect for a GovTech or enterprise SaaS implementation leader who thrives on turning complex technical challenges into streamlined, scalable processes.
Competencies: What You Need To Be Uniquely Great At
Must-Haves
- Enterprise integration expertise: You've managed SOW-based projects involving integrations with large, inflexible platforms like Accela, Amanda, Oracle, or similar systems, navigating API limitations, data migration challenges, and legacy system constraints
- Project portfolio management: You've built and scaled implementation teams through high-growth phases, balancing resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction
- Process builder and systematizer: You create order from chaos, building repeatable methodologies, templates, and playbooks that can be executed consistently by others, even in complex technical environments
- Customer-facing leadership: You can confidently lead executive steering committees, manage difficult stakeholder conversations, and turn implementation challenges into opportunities to demonstrate value and build trust
- Technical fluency with business judgment: You understand software architecture, APIs, and integration patterns well enough to make informed decisions about scope, timeline, and risk, while translating technical complexity into business language for customers and internal stakeholders
- Results-driven accountability: You own outcomes, not just activities—managing to customer success metrics, budget targets, and timeline commitments while building the team culture that delivers consistently
Nice-to-Haves
- GovTech implementation experience: You've led complex software implementations for government agencies and understand the unique challenges of public sector IT environments, procurement processes, and stakeholder management
- Experience with permit management, plan review, or other municipal/county software implementations
- Background in consulting or professional services with SOW management and change control experience
- Knowledge of common government IT security requirements, compliance frameworks, and procurement processes
- Experience building implementation teams from the ground up in high-growth SaaS environments
